Almost every cellphone manufacturer these days is coming out with devices with full keyboards - called QWERTY because of the arrangement of the letters - allowing users to type more conveniently. However, we have to hand to one of the newcomers, LAVA, for putting a spin on the concept and coming out with a full keyboard with a difference. Their recently launched B5 handset has a full keyboard, but not of the QWERTY type. Instead the alphabet is laid out in, well, alphabetical order (ABCD, etc.).
Now, this might be puzzling for keyboard veterans who have been used to typing on a QWERTY set-up on a phone or on a computer, but for those who have never really used either, this device is just perfect as they would not need to hunt for keys. And the phone does not cost too much either - Rs 4,399 is the official price. Not a bad deal for a device with full keyboard, 2.2 inch display, 2 MP camera and dual sim. An interesting spin, we must admit. We will let you know how the device actually performs when we get a review unit.
