Since the day Apple’s iPhone was released, a lot of touchscreen phones have flooded the mobile market. Be it HTC’s Touch, Samsung’s TouchWiz, Nokia’s Tube, LG’s Viewty or Sony Ericsson’s Xperia, every handset has tried to complete with the revolutionary touch interface that the iPhone offers. But none has been able to challenge the flawless touch interface. The lastest one to join this race is BlackBerry with its first touchscreen phone - the Storm.

What makes it different is the fact that its touchscreen interface is not only about touch as one actually presses the touchscreen, just like pressing a key (you can actually feel the click), to launch programs and the like. Labelled as SurePress , this technology actually prevents items on the screen from getting activated accidentally. That said, although a smooth touchscreen experience can be enjoyed over this phone, it still isn’t the best. The winner in that regard is still the iPhone. But the Storm is definitely the first runner-up in touchscreens.
