Microsoft seems to have succeeded in ’sexing up’ the next version of Windows. At least, that’s what we deduce after reading a rather steamy write-up on the forthcoming OS in the tech supplement of India’s leading news weekly,  India Today.
If the fact that someone can get turned on by software sounds strange, well, then cast a look at the excerpt from the January 2009 issue of India Today’s G&G supplement that hit stores late last week. Clearly in the throes of some software-rendered ecstasy, this is what the mag says on page 42:

“…One of the biggest concerns with Vista was compatibility with applications. Windows 7 promises to be more promiscous and link up without qualms with any PC, even allow a smooth upgrade from Vista. Unlike Vista, which took a lot of time loading, Microsoft is working on lessening the foreplay time…In short, Windows 7 will come with a man of the town been-there-done-that assurance. Nothing like an experienced performer, we guess.”

Well, well, well. If that does not make for a sexy OS, nothing does. “Promiscous,” lesser “foreplay,” “been-there-done-that,” “experienced performer” – ooh, you naughty chaps! And here we were thinking that Windows 7 was just an operating system. Clearly there is more to the OS than meets the eye…or other places, judging by what the publication says.

Incidentally, if you want to try out the OS yourself (for whatever reason), head to http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows-7/ and download it.
